  • How to Study Anatomy (in Medical School)

Anatomy is polarizing. Some medical students love it, and others hate it. But it can be painless and even fun if you approach it properly. Here's how I studied anatomy in medical school, what I wish I did differently, and what I'd recommend for you.

There are four main methods I recommend you use when learning anatomy:
    1. Textbooks - my favorite is Thieme Atlas, but I've linked other recommended options below
    2. Anatomy apps - I went with Essential Anatomy and Complete Anatomy
    3. Flashcards - Netter flashcards and Anki (either make your own or premade decks)
    4. In real life - either cadaveric dissection or live in the operating room
